Kronfeld bikes across U.S. for kids

Katonah resident Georgina Kronfeld left her home on Oct. 6 to ride her bike more than 3,000 miles to San Francisco, raising funds to educate children born in Calcutta’s red light district.

Ms. Kronfeld, a 2013 graduate of Bard College, is working with the international organization Apne Aap Women Worldwide. The organization works to empower girls and women to resist and end sex trafficking by organizing into small self-empowerment groups where they work collectively to access their legal, social, economic, and political rights.
