This is a great moment for Apne Aap – Salman from the Uttari Rampur Red Light area has passed the Inter Exam (12th Standard) with First Division marks! He is applying in Forbesganj college to do his Bachelor in Arts. A very attentive student, he is one among the first batch of students who attended classes at the Apne Aap non-formal school. He has never gone to any school before although several attempts were made to send him to other schools, but he always used to come back. Finally in 2009, Apne Aap got him admitted into Lee Academy in Forbesganj. In this context, our sincere thanks goes to Ravi, our Helpdesk Counsellor for taking special care of Salman and also helping to get him admitted into Lee Academy. Ravi used to teach him in his extra time. Salman wants to join the Police Force.
